Imagine you are driving somewhere after a hard days work or on your way to a very important meeting,and you are alone.
Suddenly you feel this blinding excrutiating pain in your chest and it is spreading towards your arms.
Signs of a heart attack-no doubt!
You all of a sudden realize that you are quite a distance from your home, yor work or the nearest hospital.
There is nobody close by to help you with CPR-(How many people really know how to apply CPR?)
Most people have heart attacks when they are alone and then do not know what to do.
In severe cases you can lose consciousness in a matter of only 10 seconds, if you are not quick enough to do something.
What to do in these circumstances:
Don’t panic Take deep breath and cough vigorously, from deep inside, every two seconds. Keep coughing this way until you get help or can make it to the hospital. Why should you cough?
Coughing “squeezes ” the heart and the contraction causes the heart to pump blood-if your heart wanted to stop.(Simulates CPR)
Coughing allows oxygen to flow to the lungs (Simulates CPR)
Coughing restores the rhythm of the heart when the motion contracts and relaxes the heart muscle.
Now here is an excellent health tip that EVERYONE should take at HEART as this very same method saved my life.This happened when I was alone and had an attack. I only heard about this vital method about two months before the attack and luckily remembered it.
